The Brooklyn Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, a not for profit organization, was founded in 1894. With almost 220 members, the Chapter is now the second largest of the five chapters in New York City, following the New York Manhattan Chapter. Since 1894, the Brooklyn Chapter has represented the professional interests of architects. As AIA members, emerging professionals, and allied partners in design have expressed their commitment to excellence and livability in our City's buildings and communities. Members adhere to a code of ethics and professional conduct that assures the client, the public and colleagues of an AIA member architect's dedication to the highest standards in professional practice.
